Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG

Many of the hottest sneakers this 2018 seem to be those comebacks of vintage sneakers, like in many previous years. One of those is the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, which makes a comeback of the iconic Air Jordan 1.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG has made a return with the legendary silhouette which is true to the shape and form of the original. The most famous original Air Jordan 1 colorways are “Chicago” with the red-white-black upper, and “Banned” with a predominantly black and red upper.

Here are the newest Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG colorways that may catch your interest (this list may be incomplete):

Getting past the colorways, how is the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG faring in terms of fit? It may be surprising (or not that surprising at all) is that after about three decades since its first release, the Air Jordan 1 is still quite playable. Which means that you can still wear it on the professional hardcourt.

It still has got some great traction – not perfect, but still excellent. However, users note that the cushion is not so great that they sometimes had to use any insole which they feel would work best for their feet.

The shoe’s material is made of full leather on the upper and rubber for the midsole and outsole which add a considerable measure of durability and weight. The Air Jordan Retro High OG offers some great fit and lockdown, but as it is used more often, it may start to loosen up a bit due to heat and moisture so the shoe may have to be laced more tightly. But it depends on the owner and how often the shoe is being used.

Despite a few flaws, the Air Jordan 1’s status as an iconic sneaker is undisputable. It is a classic amongst classics.
