Adidas Harden Vol. 2 “Concrete” edition

It’s been pretty long since Adidas Hoops and NBA star James Harden exploded the Internet with their talked-about launch of the Adidas Harden Vol. 1. And just recently, they released Harden’s signature shoe simply called Adidas Harden Vol. 2.

In February 2018, Adidas officially welcomed the Harden Vol. 2, during the All-Star Weekend. It debuted with a trio of color choices including the “California Dreamin’” “Ignite” and “Vision.” Not long after, Adidas Harden Vol. 2 followed the earlier iterations with four newer colorways:  “Traffic Jam,” “Imma Be a Star,” “Pioneer” and “Concrete.” Let’s go with the “Concrete” since this article is all about it.

The Adidas Harden Vol. 2 “Concrete” was debuted on March 10, 2018 at an original retail price of $140. The shoe’s FORGEFIBER upper is dressed in shades of grey, with three black stripes at the toe area, and hits of bright green at the back pull tab, the Adidas logo on the heel, and the insoles.

The “Concrete” colorway took its inspration from Harden’s playing style, including his lightning-quick crossovers and most famously the “Eurostep.” This particular step leaves defenders in the concrete as he makes his signature steps towards the net. The tonal grey colorway of the shoe resembles the concrete. Aside from the stripes, the black detailing is seen on the tongue area, as well as the Harden logo on it.

The full-length Boost midsole rests under the tonal grey upper, and the white outsole completes the shoe’s entire look.

The upper is made of FORGEFIBER that makes it lightweight but durable; it also has a sock-like construction which promotes flexibility and breathability. While the shoe’s lightweight support provides you control and stability even as you change directions in your steps. The full-length Boost cushioning in the midsole is quite responsive. The squishy white foam has been Adidas’ pride for years. The revolutionary Boost cushioning system considerably absorbs the stress of the wearer’s feet as they pound the pavement, thus giving more energy returns that are guaranteed to be long-lasting.

The outsole features fractal traction pattern, allowing the wearer to pull up quick start and stop movements on the hardcourt.
