Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 edition

admin July 23, 2018

Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 “Mirror Image”

2017 NBA MVP and triple-double king Russell Westbrook may well be the “baddest” basketball player on earth. He is known for his almost-merciless playing style as well as his savage personality on- and off-court. And while he is still riding on the crest of popularity and prestige, it’s about time that he shall receive his very first signature sneakers with nothing else than the renowned Jordan brand. That will put Westbrook further on the lofty place alongside other basketball elites.

Sneakerheads as well as Russell Westbrook fans were definitely looking forward to his first signature basketball shoe, the Jordan Westbrook Why Not Zer0.1 or more simply, Jordan Why Not Zer0.1

Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 was launched early in 2018 originally in two colorways, which included the “Mirror Image.” This model has continued to receive newer colorways such as “2 Way,” “Georgetown,” “Triple-Double King,” and “Noah.” But for now, let’s focus on the first colorway, the “Mirror Image.”

The Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 “Mirror Image” colorway was released on January 15, 2018 at the original sales price of $125, so that makes it pretty much within every average shopper’s wallet’s reach. But the sneakers actually debuted twelve days before, when the Oklahoma City Thunder played against the Los Angeles Lakers on the latter’s home court.

Traction – The  Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 has an extremely tight traction, which is made of translucent rubber. While the traction holds up well for indoor court playing, it is not otherwise highly recommended for outdoor use as it can attract a lot of debris. But it won’t be such a big issue as just a simple wiping could fix it.

Cushion – The  Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 features a full-length Zoom Air unit into the bulky Phylon midsole, which allows for a good and responsive cushioning. This feature makes this shoe perfect particularly for dynamic plays. This is actually one of this shoe’s most glowing points.

Fit – The Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 has a true to size fit, making your feet really secure and snug inside these kicks. It also provides an excellent lockdown, which means (assuming the correct size) that your foot won’t feel too tight or too loose inside the shoe. This is a big factor as it can save you precious split-seconds while playing on the court.

Support – Wearers have commented how the design of the midsole, outsole and fit perfectly go into the support very well. The flat wide base offers good stability, while the large Phylon midsole helps in distributing body weight evenly while providing additional stability to the feet.

Materials – The  Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 is made up of a combination of mesh and fuse, which provides the shoe flexibility as well as durability. Even non-fans of “plastic-y” basketball sneakers will be surprised at how the Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 feels good on their feet.

Overall, the Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 is an excellent-quality pair of sneakers; considering its rather low price point, this is quite a steal!
