Alright, I’m just joking, not a lot of people know about these shoes because of the recent popular releases dominating the market. So if you’re one of them, this is the right place to find out about the latest addition – the Nike Air Foamposite One. Here’s a quick review and all the info you need to know about the shoe.

These days, the Nike Air Foamposite shoe series isn’t shining for its basketball performance. It wasn’t like that long ago, when Penny Hardaway was still playing. Now, if you ask someone if they have a pair, they would say they only have them for casual wear. Regardless, this is still a basketball shoe, so let’s start the quick Nike Air Foamposite One performance review.
For cushioning, the shoe has a ZOOM Air-Sole setup. I’m not sure why they call it that, as it is pretty much full-length ZOOM AIR. The downside – it’s just too hard. Firstly, it requires a very long break-in period. Even after that, it is not a very soft setup, nor a very responsive one. It has solid impact protection though, so I give it a pass for cushioning.
You have Nike’s standard heringbone traction pattern, which is nice. It will last, but the outsole itself is sticky, which will attract a lot of dirt. The only place to ball with these is on super clean floors. For dirty floors or outdoors, you’re screwed.
Support is the highlight of the sneaker. Foamposite upper gives rock-hard support because the material itself, is rock-hard. Plus, you have a carbon fiber midsole, which will provide stability and lockdown.
So as I already mentioned, the upper is made out of foam. It is EXTREMELY firm, but extremely durable. It is literally undestroyable, even if you’d intend to. Durability is not an issue here.
Comfort is their weakest aspect. Because of the hard upper, you’re getting no stretch or flexibility on movements. It feels very restrictive, which not what you want for basketball at all. The fit itself is pretty good, but other than that, the shoe fails to deliver.
Overall, the Nike Air Foamposite One isn’t a great performer. It sheds some light with its cushioning and traction, but the rest is just not on par with today’s standards. So unless you really want to try them out on court, stick to casual wear.
I give it a 5/10 performane rating.

It’s an icon – no other way around it. Thousands of people are wearing them, so thousands of models are still being made ’till this day. It’s not an efficient basketball performer, even though it’s probably not the worst in the world.
