OVERVIEW

The adidas Yeezy Boost 350 features a high-quality Primeknit upper, which is revolutionary for the brand, as it feels really comfortable, flexible and lightweight. It blends with feet feeling almost like a sock.

boost™ is the cushioning system for the shoe’s sole. It is widely used in adidas’s sport sneakers and it is one of the best cushioning setups to date. Walking will be responsive, bouncy, soft and overall comfortable – something you would expect for a shoe with boost.

The sole is made out of quality rubber, providing great traction while walking, durability and proper step transition. Overall, the shoe feels different from your typical fashion sneakers. According to the users, they’re really light on your feet, soft and so flexible, that it provides a good ride.

One thing worth noting, the Yeezy’s are designed in a way that it has a very compact look – it looks a lot smaller than you think it does. This is because of the ultra soft and minimalistic upper material. So if you want your feet look smaller than they are – this is a perfect shoe for the job.

THE STORY

The sneaker was designed by the popular Kanye West, after his collaboration with adidas for the second time. It first debuted at the Yeezy Season fashion show in February 2015. The first colorway ‘Turtle Dove’ was released in June 27th, 2015 and costed $200. And look where we are now.

You’ve probably heard the name Yeezy Boost a couple of times before. And for a reason, this was easily the most popular and talked-about sneaker. It even won the Best Shoe Of 2015 award in the ‘Year at the Footwear News 29th Annual Achievement Awards ceremony’.

It did have a fair share of criticism, though. People were slashing adidas and Kanye for the ‘rip-off’ of the Nike Roshe Run. For them, it looked like a copy with an increased price tag. The biggest complaint was probably the lack of stock. Yeezy Boost 350 became so demanded, that it sold out instantly and people got mad, because adidas didn’t restock it soon. And overall, Kanye West received a good amount of negative feedback on the shoe. But that’s ordinary, when something becomes so popular, there will be people against the whole idea sooner or later.

If you want to grab a pair of the Yeezy Boost 350 at an ordinary price, you’ll have to look for a very long time. Almost all the pairs cost $1000+ at major retailers like Amazon.

You could try your luck on eBay, as there are plenty of options, but beware of fakes – there are A LOT of unauthentic models out there claiming they’re real with a low price tag trying to catch you. Here is a video explaining how to spot the fake model.

EDITIONS

The adidas Yeezy Boost 350 is available in 4 colors: the original ‘Turtle Dove’, ‘Moonrock’, ‘Pirate Black’ and the latest ‘Oxford Tan’, which was released in December 29th, 2015.

Yeezy BOOST 350: FINAL THOUGHTS

The adidas Yeezy Boost 350 is the definitve sneaker highlight of 2015. It’s extremely demanded, talked about and critized by people. It won the official best shoe of 2015 award, while having a lot of negative feedback.

Popularity aside, the shoe actually has great performance thanks to the Primeknit and boost technologies. It is a durable, comfortable and a great build quality shoe. For some people, it feels like nothing else.

With 4 colorways released, the Yeezy Boost 350 has a huge pricetag because of its rarity. At the end of the day, it’s probably not worth $1500 in the first place, but it still is an awesome all-around sneaker.
