Nike Kyrie 4 “Confetti”

One of the most unusual, vibrant and eye-catching colorways the Nike Kyrie has ever released (so far) is the Nike Kyrie 4 “Confetti.”

Aside from the brilliant colorway, another thing that makes the Nike Kyrie 4 “Confetti” is its mismatched left and right shoe. The outsole is also bursting with different colors. The Nike Kyrie 4 “Confetti” was released on December 16, 2017 at an original retail price of $120.

There’s a little story behind the “Confetti” shoe:

According to Nike, the shoe’s colorway was inspired by the final game of the 2017 NBA Finals which pitted Kyrie Irving’s former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, against the Golden State Warriors. The Cavaliers lost not just that game, but the championship as well. To this day, Irving carries around a piece of the confetti from the last game as a constant reminder of what it took to get to the championships, as well as a “reminder of how it felt to fall short of the goal.”

The Nike Kyrie 4 “Confetti” honors Irving’s “win-or-learn” mentality. This particular colorway serves a reminder of the incredible experience that he learned from, and which will be an inspiration for him to bounce back. Such mentality is emphasized by Kyrie’s own actual quotes and sayings (such as “We’ll be ready to battle”) which are scribbled across the shoes’ bright and multicolored uppers.

Like many other Nike Kyrie’s, the “Confetti” has the distinctive dinosaur teeth-like traction on the sides.

Each of the shoe features an eye-catching and vibrant color scheme that boasts alternating color palettes in purple, volt, pink, neon green and blue. Kyrie’s quotes and sayings are embossed, as well as the stitched-in “Swoosh” logo, onto the colorful upper. The entirety of the shoe sits on top of the translucent and icy-looking outsole.

The Nike Kyrie 4 “Confetti” is outfitted with the cushion midsole Zoom Air heel unit. The zig-zag flex grooves on the outsole are made even deeper for better grip, cushioning and comfort.
