As another way to further commemorate the Air Jordan 2 the Jordan brand launched the Air Jordan 32 NRG “Italy” that echoed the high-end design of the former.
The AirJordan 32 NRG “Italy” was first spotted last November 2017 and a few months later, it finally hit the shelves and online stores last February 28, 2018. It debuted at a original price of $200.
It is a premium shoe, and one of the things that make the Air Jordan 32 NRG “Italy” gain its premium status (and pricing) is its full leather construction. The Air Jordan 32 NRG “Italy” is also a limited edition to boot because only 323 pairs had been rolled out, plus it made an exclusive appearance at Foot Locker in Los Angeles during All-Star Weekend.
The first thing you noticed about this shoe, is its squeaky-clean white silhouette just like the Air Jordan 2. It had red and white accents, and this whole color scheme is a direct nod to the colors of the Italian flag. The Air Jordan 32 NRG “Italy”’s reconstrcuted leather body is its own acknowledgement to the original Air Jordan 2’s material.
Going over the short story of the Air Jordan 2, the inspiration behind the Air Jordan 32 NRT “Italy”: it is definitely one of the signature pairs the Jordan brand has released since its inception. The Air Jordan 2 was originally released in 1987 and was designed by Bruce Kilgore. These sneakers were made in Italy and was made in premium Italian leather. Another thing that made the Air Jordan 2 unique was the absence of the iconic “Swoosh” logo on the upper.
Since the release of the Air Jordan 2, the shoes have been “retroed” several times, some with slightly different colorways. And now, the Air Jordan 32 NRG promises to deliver the same retro look, premium construction and luxe feel just like the original Air Jordan 2. You can also see the crocodile skin-like texture along the wrap-around panels, furthering the shoe’s premium aesthetics.
The red retro “Air Jordan” logo is stamped on top of the tongue, and the Jumpman logo is seen on the heel counter.
Since the Air Jordan 32 NRG “Italy” is a limited-edition premium selection, a lucky few has been able to purchase them, considering the original retail price. If you’re lucky, you might be able to snap them up at secondary markets.
