Nike Air Force 270 Safari Edition

When you go to the shoe store and you’re walking through aisles of sneakers, it is impossible that the Nike Air Force 270 Safari won’t catch your eye in an instant.

The Nike Air Force 270 Safari was launched in February 2018 as part of Air Max Day 2018 celebrations. It debuted at $160 a pair.

Going over to the appearances first, you can tell that the Nike Air Force 270 Safari displays a lot of character and personality at first glance. Look at its upper: it combines different materials such as suede (or nubuck), leather and mesh, which lend different textures to this shoe. It has strong accents of black, orange and animal prints – which explains the name – that make this shoe a big, bold foot fashion statement. The bright orange colorway is seen across the forefoot, the ankle, and the heel. The buckle strap at the mid-foot completes the look. There are pull tabs at the tongue and heel as well.

The hybrid shoe’s colorway is an obvious nod to the original 1987 Air Safari (designed by Tinker Hatfield) which is known for its iconic animal print that nearly dominates its silhouette. That’s why it evokes that vintage and old-school look. The synthetic overlays and neoprene sections make the overall appearance of this shoe even a bit more remarkable and impressive.

The heel of the Nike Air Force 270 features the Air Unit. Compared to other Nike Air models, this shoe’s air cushioning unit is pretty huge that it can create less impact on your feet as you walk, jump, run or sprint, and therefore it makes for a less painful and more comfortable wear. Wearing the Nike Air Force 270, you will instantly feel the “bounce” as your feet strike the ground, thanks to its giant cushioning unit.

But if you’re looking for a pair of light sneakers, the Nike Air Force 270 won’t fit to your sneaker criterion. These shoes may give your feet a bit of chunky feel, probably because of the many different materials and elements used in them. As a result, your feet may feel tired after doing some strides.

While the shoes’ aesthetic factor creates quite an impact, they can look too loud at times that it makes them a bit difficult to wear. To tone down your overall street-smart casual look, you can match these shoes with just a plain top and an ordinary-looking pair of trousers or shorts.
